Maa Tutla Bhawani temple
Maa Tutla Bhawani temple is very ancient. There are many inscriptions present near the idol of Maa which clearly show that they were engraved by the local king of that time. There is also a proof of the 12th century that the date of 19 April 1158 (Jyeshtha month of Vikram Samvat 1214) is written on the Maa Jagaddhatri Durga (Maa Tutla Bhawani) inscription.
Maa Tutla Bhavani is situated in the lush green valleys of Kaimur Hills. There is a huge crowd during Navratri to have the darshan of the mother. Till some time ago, there were no facilities for the devotees here and they had to go through a rocky path for darshan, but now a hanging bridge has been constructed for the devotees.
Through this, everyone can easily reach the temple for the darshan of Mata. This hanging bridge is very attractive and one feels a different kind of peace in seeing the waterfall and the green valleys around this bridge.
To reach the Maa Tutla Bhavani temple complex, you will have to walk about one and a half kilometres from the car parking, but this route is quite thrilling and with the grace of the Mother, you will not even feel tired.
However, now you can also enjoy the convenience of an e-rickshaw
History of tutla bhawani mandir
The idol of Maa Tutleswari Bhavani is very ancient. This temple is famous for fulfilling wishes or getting desired results.
Whether it is Shardiya Navratri or Vasantik Navratri, the glory of the Dham remains more because in India, the mother goddess is invoked for nine days of Navratri. Fairs are also organized throughout the Navratri.
If any auspicious work is started or completed, local people come to visit the mother.
There are two types of statues of Tutla Maa here, one broken and the other new. This statue is an excellent example of Garhwal’s art. Since Tutla Mata has eight hands, she is also called Ashtabhuja Bhavani.
The antiquity of the temple is evident from the inscription found here that long ago King Pratap Dhawal had consecrated one of the two idols.
recognition of temple
Local people have such faith in Tutla Bhawani Dham and these people say that whenever someone comes to the temple with impure thoughts, he has to face the wrath of Bhramari Devi (Bharvara).
Such incidents have happened to many people. Hence, the importance of this Dham increases in the surrounding rural areas.
The importance of Tutleswari Dham is being spread in Bihar as well as in North India or in other words in the whole of India. All the infrastructure including roads is being developed.
